Conditions of hire.

·         If used with a disco / live music the Function Room will only be booked with a maximum of 200 guests in attendance (including the organisers). Please note that where functions require a special layout this number of 200 may be reduced for safety considerations at the discretion of the Shell Club Management.

·         All food and drink consumed will be supplied by the Shell Club. Where a Bar Limit and Wine / other drinks has been agreed and set by the hirer the full amount must be paid in advance of the function. Shell Club Terms of Payment apply, see notes on reverse of Price List. All prices are subject to an annual review and Government legislation.

·         The standard bar closing hours are Sunday through to Thursday 11.00pm. Friday and Saturday the bar closing hours are 11.30pm.

·         All entertainment must cease by the bar closing time.

·         All drinks MUST be finished and the premises vacated no later than 30 minutes after the bar closing time. 

·         The Hirer / Responsible Person will undertake that no drugs will be taken or supplied for unlawful purposes at the function and ensure that no person under the age of 18 is supplied with any alcoholic drinks.

·         The Hirer / Responsible Person will ensure that his / her guests will act in accordance with all legal requirements and in line with the Shell Club Rules and Bylaws.

·         The Hirer / Responsible Person will remain until the Function finishes and his / her guests depart.

·         Where the Function Room is booked a refundable deposit of £250, at the discretion of the Club Management,  may be requested from which any damage to property or breakages will be deducted. The Hirer is responsible for all costs for damage.

·         This hire is confirmed when the full hire fee is paid and this form is signed and a copy issued to the hirer.

·         The Hirer / Responsible Person understands that should he /she cancel the function the Hire Fee will not be refundable.

·         The Club Management must be informed of the nature of all functions and where the guests are predominately under the age of 25. Please note - we are unable to undertake any 18^th or 21^st Birthday Parties or any party where the majority of those attending will be under 21 years of age.

·         The Club Management recommends that each function has door security.  The Club Management will not be held responsible for any unauthorised persons gaining egress into the Hirers function.

·         The Club Management reserves the right to cancel any function in advance and the Hire Fee will be refunded.

·         Where a Club Member books the Function Room the Club Member will be either a guest or in attendance. The Club Member is reminded that they are responsible for the function and that their Club membership can be placed in serious jeopardy by any contravention of Club Rules or Bylaws.

·         Under no circumstances will any tickets for any functions be sold on the door.

I agree to the above Terms and Conditions of this document.

I understand that this function will be terminated for breach of these Terms and Conditions.
